The male is being undermined by pressure and that the natural role of hunter is no longer the case and family life is becoming like a Pride of Lions where women are taking the leading role and the male becomes more domesticated. Even the advertisements undermine (battle of the sexes) the male ability, which obviously adds to males feeling of inadequacy especially when the male is going through adolescence and needs to feel secure and adequate.
